Since ever, it is still considered a taboo even in a fast-paced & a developing country like India. It's about time, people realize that mental health is as important as any other life-threatening conditions like cancer. When an individual has trouble breathing, the entire family is concerned about it and supports him to go see the doctor. However, when the same individual when has an issue dealing with a personal crisis, the same family shames the individual. Due to this, the maximum number of people suffer in silence. To bring forth awareness, right medical and support services to individuals, MHCC came to life in the year 2003. MHCC Kolkata provides mental health-related services like psychiatric consultation and treatment for adults as well as kids, helps with marital counseling, sex-related inadequacies, and substance abuse disorders.
Our doors are open for listening, healing, treating and handling everything related to mental disability, disorders, and illnesses. It's high time, we develop our mindsets around having state of the art facilities for mental health which are in the league of mainstream hospitals. Therefore, it is our goal to turn the Mental Health Care Center in Kolkata to resonate with our "Aim-High" vision for 2020.
